Welcome to the Fairfax County Chapter
National Society Daughters of the American Revolution

The Fairfax County Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), based in Vienna, Virginia, is a proud member of Today’s DAR! We are one of 130 Virginia DAR (VADAR) and 3,000 NSDAR chapters.

Our chapter, with more than 200 members, includes women of all ages and interests - those who work in and outside the home, educators, private industry and government employees, medical professionals, lawyers, students, volunteers, and active retirees. We all share a love of family, community, and country, and a strong commitment to honor our American Revolutionary War Patriots. We are an active chapter, offering a broad variety of activities in which we engage in service to America.

Since its founding in 1890, the DAR mission has promoted historic preservation, education, and patriotism. These timeless, overarching principles keep the DAR strong and vitally relevant in this ever-changing world. Over a million women have joined the DAR over the past 130 years. We invite you to join us and find your place in our chapter.

Be one in a million!
